| Location information | Hangzhou is the capital of Zhejiang Province, located south of Shanghai, and one of the eight ancient capitals of China. It is the political, economic, and cultural center of southeastern China. To the west of the city center is the West Lake, a World Heritage Site, which attracts many tourists.
