| University information | Hunan University of Technology was founded in 1979 as Zhuzhou Basic University, and after going through Zhuzhou Technical College, it became Hunan University of Technology in 2006. It is a local key university jointly operated by the Hunan Provincial People's Government and the Ministry of Education. Although it is a university with a focus on science and engineering, it is a comprehensive university that also has a faculty of law, a faculty of business, and a faculty of foreign languages. |
