School Juridical Person Kobe Yamate Gakuen and School Juridical Person Hamana Gakuin

Kobe Yamate Gakuen Educational Corporation merged with Hamana Gakuin Educational Corporation in April 2020 to become Hamana Yamate Gakuin Educational Corporation. Yamate Gakushuin (the predecessor of Kobe Yamate Gakuen) was founded in 2 at the foot of Mt. Suwa in Kobe. Since then, it has been handed down from generation to generation as an educational mission and an immutable educational spirit.

Approximately 100 years ago, in the late Taisho era, Japan began to accept the economic and cultural gap with other countries as a reality.People at the forefront of society were more than a little shocked by this fact, and they tried hard and single-mindedly to learn something, repeating trial and error toward an unseen future. This trend was particularly noticeable in the field of education. It was also around this time that the number of those who wanted to go on to higher education, especially among girls who were not blessed with the opportunity to attend school, continued to increase remarkably.

At that time, the number of girls' schools was so small that the reality was that many girls, with a strong desire to learn, gave up on going on to higher education and graduated from elementary school. There was a person who strongly felt the pain of this reality. At that time, he was Seizo Sugino, who was the principal of Kobe Municipal Yamate Elementary School. "I want to somehow nurture their precious love of learning. Isn't it possible to establish a girls' school in this area?" Sugino's thoughts were earnest. The wedding ceremony of His Imperial Highness the Higashi Imperial Palace (Emperor Showa) was to be held.Sugino decided that it would be a good opportunity to establish a girls' school, and proposed the establishment of Kobe Yamate Girls' High School as a commemorative project for her marriage.・・・・

[Excerpt from Kobe Yamate Gakuen Educational Foundation “70 Years Trajectory”]

Hamana Gakuin received a request from the city of Amagasaki in 1950 (Showa 25), when Misao Hamana, who was the chairman of the women's federation of Amagasaki City, was in the midst of the chaos after the war, which was reduced to ashes. It originated from Ainosono Kindergarten, which was established in Amagasaki City with private funds, based on the belief that it is especially useful in early childhood education. Then, in the kindergarten management, it is essential to train excellent teachers, so he opened a teacher training center at the same kindergarten. After that, the training center developed from Kansai Jogakuin to Kansai Jogakuin Childcare College and Kansai Childcare and Welfare College. We have been working on new initiatives ahead of theIn 1987, Kansai Jogakuin Junior College was established in Miki City, and in 62, Kansai University of International Studies was opened in the same city. bottom.Kansai International University's numerous pioneering initiatives in education have been highly acclaimed nationwide since its inception. It is located in Iaiien (a garden made with love). Hamana Gakuin's message is to ``be a kindergarten full of love for education that is as strong as the love of parents for children, and that the children who learn there should develop compassion for and acceptance of others.'' This is the starting point for consistent education.
