| University information | A private university located in Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia. Founded in 1924, it is one of the oldest educational institutions in Mongolia. There are just over 6,000 students. | Location information | Ulaanbaatar is the capital of Mongolia and the political and economic center of the country, where roughly half of the country's population lives. The average annual precipitation is less than one-quarter of that of Tokyo, making it a very dry city. The temperature varies greatly throughout the year, rising to nearly 1°C in the summer and dropping to nearly -4°C in the winter. The average temperature in January is below -40°C, the lowest of any capital city in the world, and so it is known as the "coldest capital city in the world." In July 2021, Chinggis Khaan International Airport opened as the New Ulaanbaatar International Airport, 7 km southwest of Ulaanbaatar. Construction of an airport railway linking the airport terminal building with the city of Ulaanbaatar is also planned. |
