Curriculum Organization and Implementation Policy (Curriculum Policy)

1. Education content
(1) Courses to acquire basic knowledge and skills related to human behavior, such as psychology, sociology, and forensic science (“basic courses”); There are three groups of courses: a group of courses for learning how to formulate and methodologies ("core courses"), and a group of courses for on-site research, fieldwork, and practical experience in the field of major ("development courses"). to place

(5) In the second year, students will take a "Master's Thesis Guidance" course, and follow a research plan to collect and analyze highly reliable data using objective methods used in behavioral science, such as experiments, surveys, observations, and interviews. You will write your master's thesis while comparing it with your research and adding empirical considerations.

2. Teaching method
(1) In the "Fundamental Subjects" and "Core Subjects," students will learn through presentations and discussions.
(2) Students learn about practical issues using the action research method, in which they conduct research while repeating practice and reflection, keeping in mind the fusion of theory and practice.
(3) When writing a master's thesis, receive guidance from your academic advisor according to your research plan, and seek advice from other faculty members at three interim report meetings held in the second half of your first year, June of your second year, and October of your second year. (4) All research conducted in this department on human subjects must be submitted to the Kansai International University Research Ethics Committee, reviewed, approved, and the research conducted and thesis written.
3. Educational evaluation
(1) Specialized knowledge and skills will be evaluated for each subject, and will also be evaluated by faculty members other than the academic advisor through an oral examination in the final examination.
(2) The master's thesis will be formatively evaluated by a faculty member other than the academic advisor at three interim reporting sessions.
(3) Master's thesis will be presented after a thesis presentation session, followed by five evaluations by faculty members: (1) the significance of the theme; You will be assessed using an evaluation rubric consisting of perspectives and an oral examination.
(4) The president will confer a degree on those who have completed the course.
