As part of the Miki City and Tamba City Regional Revitalization Project, we visited a black edamame soybean farm and heard about the passion behind their work. Black edamame was also sold at the university festival. At a Tamba cloth artist's workshop, we tried our hand at spinning thread from silkworm cocoons and creating accessories. We also held a workshop as part of our activities. Until high school, I rarely volunteered or took the lead, but through fieldwork and experiential activities, I was able to develop a proactive attitude and the ability to communicate. In the future, I would like to work in a position that helps spread the word about the good things about the region.

The Finance Division is primarily responsible for tasks related to the city's budget, including budget compilation and execution management, the issuance of municipal bonds, and administrative work calculating local allocation tax. The "assessment" of policy budgets is also an important part of the job. We examine the content from every angle, such as whether the policy is necessary in the first place, whether the expenses are reasonable, and whether the methods are appropriate, and hold repeated discussions with the relevant parties. Working on how the taxes paid by citizens are used is a huge responsibility, and I find it rewarding every day.
The various business skills I learned at Kansai University of International Studies are still useful to me today, and I truly feel that it was a "learning experience that really lived." I also gained many valuable experiences while I was a student, such as being selected as one of the final 600 teams from over 30 applicants in a business competition hosted by Nara Prefecture, and making a policy proposal to the mayor of a local government that was highly praised. Learning about the policy-making process and success stories has become an advantage in my work as a local government employee.
