A fulfilling learning environment
Learning in the Nursing Practice Building designed based on the learning process

The Nursing Practice Building is equipped with four practice rooms, and also has a "Skills Lab," a facility where students can gain practical experience in physical assessment techniques and nursing skills using simulation models.
Furthermore, we will enhance the library functions and provide a rich learning environment with an eye toward future nursing education.
- Physical assessment: Directly examining, analyzing, and understanding the patient's physical condition using various medical equipment and tools (such as a stethoscope).

Lounge (1st floor)
The first floor is home to the First Nursing Practice Room, a student locker room, and a lounge. The First Nursing Practice Room is equipped with 1 beds, and the student lockers are equipped with security and other safety features. The lounge has an open-ceiling structure, with sunlight pouring in through the large windows, creating a bright and open space.

Second Nursing Practice Room (2nd floor)
The second nursing practice room is equipped with 2 beds and is used primarily for practicing nursing techniques necessary for adult nursing. One corner of the practice room has been set up to replicate a hospital room, allowing students to practice in preparation for clinical training.

Skills Lab (2nd floor)
The Skills Lab is equipped with two state-of-the-art full-body models and a mannequin to improve physical assessment skills. Here, nurses can practice the skills they need in a variety of ways using models and replicas.

There is a third nursing practice room where students practice in the family support field. Students can practice on campus in a clinical environment with facilities such as pediatric beds, bathing dolls, delivery tables, tocodynamometers, and incubators. There are also research labs and practice rooms that can be used for graduation research and seminars, allowing students to receive careful instruction in small groups.

Second Nursing Practice Room (4nd floor)
The fourth nursing practice room is equipped with a Japanese-style room, toilet, kitchen, and bathroom, allowing students to acquire skills for assisting patients in their own homes. In addition, there is a conference room and a practice room, making it possible to study and practice skills in small groups.
Supporting "Learning about Nursing" through enhanced library functions

Nursing students frequently use the library, with three times as many books borrowed compared to students in other departments. The library is open from 3:8 am to 30:21 pm on weekdays and is also available for self-study, such as for national exam preparation. There is also a Learning Commons, which many students use to write reports while viewing audiovisual materials.
The prefecture's largest collection of nursing-related books
With 13,000 nursing-related books, the school boasts one of the largest annual intakes in the prefecture. In addition, the school offers comprehensive support for learning, including a wide selection of databases and e-books that can be used from home, and several books necessary for practical training.
Practical learning through collaboration and cooperation with core medical facilities in the region
[1] Collaboration with Kita-Harima General Medical Center
To improve practical nursing skills, it is important to learn in the medical field as a learning environment. Our university uses the Kita-Harima General Medical Center, which provides cutting-edge medical care in the region, as its main training facility, and also invites lecturers from the center to create an environment where students can put their learning into practice to acquire knowledge and skills suited to the medical field. Nursing is said to be a practical science, and this close collaboration between the university and the medical field allows students to acquire solid practical nursing skills.
Key points of mutual cooperation
- Dispatch of instructors and acceptance of practical training (clinical training) necessary for training nurses, etc.
- After graduation, students are sent to work at the Kita-Harima General Medical Center as nurses, midwives, and public health nurses.
- Cooperation with training for current nurses (use of university facilities, etc.)
