■ Please tell us about your current research theme (or field of specialization) and the reason why you decided to pursue this field of specialization.

When I was in graduate school, I was a tutor for an international student from Taiwan. While checking his Japanese and answering questions about his papers, I realized how interesting it was to think about and teach Japanese, and entered the world of Japanese language studies. I was drawn in.

■ Profile

I teach Japanese to international students, and Japanese grammar and linguistics to students who are interested in teaching Japanese.

I don't have much to brag about, but no matter where I go in the world, I am very grateful and proud that I have students and friends.

■ Message to high school students

My biggest regret in my life so far is that I didn't study abroad (long-term) when I was a student.

Nowadays, going abroad is not a very high hurdle, but it is still the time when you are most fulfilled both mentally and physically. I think that doing is something that can only be done when you are a student.

If you have even the slightest interest in studying abroad, do not hesitate to study abroad.

■ Themes that can be cooperated such as lectures and interviews

Fields related to Japanese grammar and meaning, Japanese language education, etc.
