Q1: Please tell us about your current research theme (or field of specialization) and the reason or motivation for choosing that field of study.

I am interested in using the text data of Japanese literary works to clarify the characteristics of the writer's style.When he was an undergraduate, he encountered the works of Ryunosuke Akutagawa, and was drawn to his finely honed writing style.

Also, in terms of study skills education in the first year of university.We are working on the development of teaching materials, and the results are being used as the textbook "Steps to Knowledge" for the compulsory first-year course "Learning Techniques".Recently, I have been focusing on a research project on improving reading comprehension.

When I was an undergraduate, I specialized in Japanese literature, but in graduate school, I developed a linguistic and cultural approach using computers to analyze stylistics.After I arrived at Kansai University of International Studies at the same time as the opening of the university, I participated in the launch of the Learning Support Center, which led me to work on first-year education.
