■ Please tell us about your current research theme (or field of specialization) and the reason why you decided to pursue this field of specialization.

Currently, I am conducting research on the theme of cooperation and connection between kindergartens and elementary schools. My family runs a kindergarten, and I have been exposed to early childhood education since I was little, but I started studying it in earnest in graduate school.

When I went to graduate school, I met a teacher who was in the same situation as me, and he taught me how interesting early childhood education is.Suddenly, I was told that I should go to a kindergarten once a week as a volunteer, so I went to a kindergarten near my graduate school. It was an opportunity to start.

Then, I was invited by my teacher to join the Japan Society of Childcare and Education, and was introduced to teachers who are doing joint research. At that time, the theme of the teachers was "collaboration and connection between kindergartens and elementary schools," so while I was listening to the teachers, I became interested in it and started researching it.

■ Profile

I was born and raised in Kyoto, and I graduated from my parents' kindergarten.

In high school, I went to Kyoto Seisho High School, where I encountered tennis.I was able to make the best eight in the city and continued playing tennis through graduate school. When I was in graduate school, I was also a tennis coach at Aono Tennis Club.

I think it was very important to continue one thing.I believe that the experience I gained from playing tennis from high school has been the source of my ongoing research.

■ Message to high school students

Of course, I love children!I would recommend this faculty to anyone.

Also, I think that people who like to communicate with others and who can actively engage in various activities are ideal candidates for the Faculty of Education.

However, there are many students who are not good at such things and want to improve their skills at university. It is a school that I would recommend to anyone.

First of all, please do your best in various activities in high school.Whether it's studying or club activities, I believe that people who work hard at one thing will be able to fulfill their dreams in the future and will be active in the future.

■ Themes that can be cooperated such as lectures and interviews

Lectures and interviews on themes related to nursery school and elementary school cooperation and connections (approach and start curriculum) are possible.

In addition, we go to various public and private kindergartens for research and training in the kindergarten.
