A status of residence is a legal status that allows a foreigner to stay in Japan and engage in certain activities, and the type of status of residence is determined by law according to the content of the activities that the foreigner conducts in Japan. .Regardless of the expiration date of your status of residence, it will expire if you no longer engage in permitted activities.
Renewal of status of residence
The period of permitted stay in Japan as an international student (with the status of residence of a student) is determined by the Immigration Services Agency of Japan.If you wish to extend this period due to promotion, etc., you must apply for an extension of your period of stay.You can renew your period of stay from three months before the expiration date of your period of stay.Bring your application documents to the immigration bureau (branch office) that has jurisdiction over your place of residence and carry out renewal procedures to receive a new residence card.
Notes
If the period of stay exceeds even one day, it will be treated as an illegal stay.Please be careful and apply for renewal of your period of stay as soon as possible.

Change of affiliation (activity) organization
You must notify us within 14 days of any change in the name or address of your affiliated institution, withdrawal from the institution (graduation, completion, withdrawal, expulsion), or transfer.However, if you return to your home country immediately after graduation, you do not need to go through this procedure if you return your residence card at the immigration inspection at the airport.
