Career education

Characteristics of our career education
Kansai University of International Studies focuses on the themes of "knowing society" and "knowing yourself," and from the first year, we support students in their career development by gradually helping them envision their future as people who can contribute to society. Building on the knowledge they have acquired at university, students also participate in off-campus experiential learning programs such as global studies, service learning, and internships, building a "Plan-Do-Check-Action (PDCA) cycle of learning" by accumulating and reflecting on their experiences to discover their own challenges and new learning opportunities. By constantly switching between what they learn at university and off-campus experiential learning, students synthesize their knowledge and prepare for full-scale career choices from their third year onwards.
Career Route Guide
Starting in the 2025 academic year, we have launched university-wide career support using the "Career Route Guide." The "Career Route Guide" is a tool that divides the career paths that our students may choose into 16 routes, and clarifies the preparations that should be made for each route and the four-year schedule. It is presented to students from their first year and is also used during career support and advisor interviews. In addition, by constantly reviewing the guide during career-related classes, we aim to link career paths with learning at university and provide "individually optimal career support" from an early stage.
