About the Learning Support Office

To become an independent learner

During your four years at university, you will need to make your own plans according to your interests and future goals, and take classes and work on your studies. Therefore, each student is required to be an "independent learner."The Learning Support Office prepares various programs to support your learning.

If you do not understand anything about your studies, please consult with us proactively.

In addition to lecture-style classes, university classes provide many opportunities for students to learn from each other through discussions and group work. You will also work on various assignments such as tests, reports and presentations.
Outside of class, you will need to prepare for practical training, study for qualifications, and prepare for employment exams.Since you need to collect the information you need for your studies by yourself, please actively consult with various people. You may find a solution.

Utilization of center programs

We offer courses with useful content for everyone, such as studying for qualifications and strengthening study skills.

Utilization of central office hours

In addition to the office hours held by each faculty member in their laboratories, our university conducts center office hours in open spaces such as the learning support room, where full-time faculty members work once a week. Please use this time to ask questions to the instructor, such as when you did not understand something in class or when you were absent. In addition, since each faculty member lists the content of instruction, you can also consult individually with faculty members who are not involved in classes or seminars, regardless of department.

Laboratory office hours

All faculty members open their laboratories once a week to consult with students. This is set separately from the center office hours for questions that are difficult to discuss in an open space or that you would like to ask individually.

center office hours

Full-time faculty members take turns waiting in open spaces such as the learning support room and the media library to answer questions and provide advice to students. Each faculty member presents the content of instruction, so students can select and use the areas in which they wish to receive instruction.

Employment exam/qualification exam measures

At Amagasaki Campus, we offer courses to prepare for teacher employment exams. In response to the early adoption of teacher recruitment examinations, we are offering courses for third-year students from the spring semester of third-year students.
In addition, as a measure to acquire qualifications, we have prepared a "WEB qualification course" that allows you to take online courses for one year.Plan your studies to reach your goals.

Consultation with a learning support tutor

Students who have taken the training program are available for individual consultation as "study support tutors."If you would like to hear about the experiences of senior students, such as classes and exam preparation, please check the tutor's working hours at the Learning Support Office and come for a consultation. We also hold study sessions organized by tutors.

Study support flow

We provide students with access to appropriate programs according to their academic year and learning level. In addition, various data such as absence surveys, basic academic diagnostic test results, and progress on pre-enrollment assignments (KUISs drills) are shared with the faculty, and used to support each student from the early stages after enrollment.
