■Center program introduction: Professor Izumi Ukita, Faculty of Business Administration

At the Miki Campus and the Amagasaki Campus, we offer Nissho Bookkeeping Certification Courses throughout the year.
Bookkeeping is the skill of classifying, recording, and aggregating the day-to-day management activities of a company and preparing financial statements.Financial statements clarify the operating results and financial condition of a company, and are prepared regardless of company size or industry.By studying bookkeeping, you can acquire not only the accounting knowledge necessary for accounting work to create financial statements, but also the ability to read financial statements and the basic skills of management analysis.
If you have the ability to understand and analyze financial statements, you will be able to grasp the situation of other companies as well as your own company. In addition, since the basic system of bookkeeping is universal and is said to be the "global language," it is useful not only in Japan but also in overseas business. In addition, local governments are beginning to adopt the concept of corporate accounting. Therefore, it can be said that bookkeeping is not a knowledge and skill that is required only for those in charge of accounting in companies, but a literacy that must be acquired as a member of society.
The Nissho Bookkeeping Test is a test to prove bookkeeping skills. Many companies encourage their employees to acquire bookkeeping qualifications or make it a requirement for taking promotion exams. When you are looking for a job, if you pass the bookkeeping test, it will show that you have acquired knowledge, and at the same time, it will also prove that you have focused on one thing.
In the Faculty of Business Administration curriculum, there is a compulsory subject "Finance" in the fall semester of the first year. You will learn the basics of bookkeeping there, but in order to pass the certification exam, small-group learning at the center program is effective. The Center Program is also open to students other than those in the Faculty of Business Administration, so it is implemented according to the learning history of the participants. For students who have no learning experience of bookkeeping, we will start from the basics and aim to pass Level 1.If you have previous learning experience, we review each theme while consulting with the student, and work on past problems.

The current student (Miki Campus) started studying bookkeeping in the spring semester of the first year and has passed the 1rd level. Learning.Since continuous learning is required, I am working hard not only during the Center Program but also during the summer semester.
Face-to-face learning is preferable for bookkeeping, but we continue using Zoom even during the distance learning period. We will support as many students as possible to pass the bookkeeping examination.
