On Saturday, April 4th, as part of Freshman Week, President Atsushi Hamana held a "Kobe Walker" tour of Kobe.A total of 8 people, including 27 new students, 4 mentors, and 6 faculty members, participated in the event.
The group gathered at JR Nada Station and took a stroll along the way to the Human and Disaster Prevention Future Center, Kazamidori House, Kobe Muslim Mosque, and Nankinmachi Kobe Chinatown.
At the "Research Center for Human and Disaster Risk Reduction", visitors can experience the frightening damage caused by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake through visuals and sounds, and watch a video that introduces the town and people in the process of recovery, along with the challenges they face, through a drama. bottom.In the experiment corner, they observed liquefaction experiments and seismic isolation/earthquake resistance experiments and learned practical knowledge.
At the "Kobe Muslim Mosque", we were able to see the inside of the temple with the cooperation of the people involved, and we were able to hear valuable stories.
