[Center for Global Education] Global Study II Malaysia/2017 Summer Kedah Program has started

I would like to introduce the first report of the Global Study Malaysia Program.

This program conducts research on the global disaster countermeasures and risk management that will be required in the Asian region in the future through international comparisons of the significance and behavior of "safety and security".
Local companies and Japanese companies operating in Kuala Lumpur and Kedah, Malaysia, which have not been hit by major disasters, have learned in advance the risk management of companies operating in Japan, which has a high disaster risk. We will investigate what kind of risks are assumed and how risk management and crisis management are being carried out.Through comparative research on the two, the aim is to acquire useful learning that will be useful when you find a job at a company that is expanding globally in the future.

Before going to the site, we visited business offices in Japan and investigated the risks that Japanese companies face when operating in Japan and when expanding overseas. In the field, we visit the Malaysian branch offices of these companies and conduct hearing surveys. At present, we have just completed interviews with three Japanese companies in Kuala Lumpur, and the students actively asked questions in response to the explanations given by the executives of the local companies, and a fruitful exchange of opinions took place.
They also visited facilities related to history and culture in Malaysia and experienced different cultures.

From now on, in Kedah State, we will visit Utala Malaysia University, a partner university, and listen to lectures by experts on risk management in Malaysia with students from the university, visit local companies, and present the results. I plan to participate in joint programs that I do.
