[Center for Global Education] Report on Global Study I (China/2017 Summer Qingdao)

In "Global Study I (China/Summer Qingdao, 2017)," 2 students from the Department of Psychology and Department of Business Administration of the Faculty of Human Sciences, from the second year to the fourth year, returned to Japan after completing their local studies in Qingdao for five days and four nights. .


This program covers food safety and security initiatives, ranging from laws and regulations to quality control at food production, manufacturing, and distribution sites, as well as consumer preferences for food selection and consumer awareness of safety and security. The purpose is to consider the differences between Japan and China from various perspectives.For pre-learning, local Hyogo Prefecture "Rokko Miso Factory", for on-site learning, Japanese company "Qingdao Kyoku Songkang Da Foods Co., Ltd.", Korean company "Qingdao Gyeongbokgung Foods Co., Ltd.", Chinese company I visited three companies of "Kinsho Shokuhin".


In addition to these visits, inspections, and interviews, the lectures on food by the teachers of Qingdao Binkai Gakuin, and the results obtained through discussions with the local students afterward, have given the students participating in this program the opportunity to learn more about food processing and distribution in Japan and China. It was a very good opportunity to consider the differences between companies.
