Through nature experience activities, children in infancy and adolescence will come into contact with the living power (intellect, virtue, and body), and in particular, with the aim of cultivating the ability to support the development and growth of children from a psychological perspective. Activities were carried out for five months from August to August.
From April to July, I participated in the "Children's Outdoor Class" held at Horseland Park (Eo no Mori) as a support staff, and experienced how to interact with and support children in early childhood. I learned practically.
In August, with the cooperation of the local community center, the students themselves planned and implemented a day camp program for elementary school students.Comments from the children who participated included, "University students were very kind and it was a lot of fun," "It was a lot of fun, so I want to participate again," and "Throughout the day, I was able to talk with many university students. I want to come again.”
During the five months, the students used the knowledge of psychology they had learned on campus to interact with children at various developmental stages and explored what they could do to help them grow.I hope that this experience will be connected to your studies on campus and that you will make use of it for deeper learning.
