[Center for Global Education] Global Study II (Thailand/Summer 2017 Bangkok) Activity Report 2

We would like to introduce the second report of "Global Study Thailand", which has just returned to Japan after completing its activities on Saturday, September 9th.This program is to conduct service activities at orphanages and facilities for the disabled in Thailand and compare the current situation in Thailand with Japan.


This time, I was engaged in various activities at a facility called "Father Ray" in Pattaya, Thailand.Take children from schools for the blind to touch the sea and beach sand on the beach, or take children from "day care centers" (they belong to the poorest people in Pattaya) to temples. I went


Some of the food for the people living in the facility is grown in the farm owned by the facility, and I also helped with the farm work at the farm.The facility is entirely funded by donations and does not always have enough staff and faculty.Under such circumstances, the students have been engaged in helping the facility while devising ways to help the children as much as possible.


For many of the students, it was their first experience abroad, so it was a tough activity, but I felt and learned a lot when I came back.From now on, I will work on how to express them in words through retrospective learning, and deepen my learning in the field.
