This program aims to deepen understanding of cultural and educational diversity through service activities and exchange activities at primary educational institutions, mainly in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan. carried out on schedule.A total of 2 students, mainly second-year students of the university's baseball club, participated in the event from three departments on both campuses. This time, we carried out two major activities.

As the first activity, we held a baseball clinic for the students of Kaohsiung Zhongzheng Elementary School. Through the service activities and exchange activities at the same elementary school, which was the second time, I was able to deepen friendships not only with the children who attended the classes, but also with the people involved in the elementary school.Participating students other than the hardball baseball team provided logistical support such as filming and recording, and the program as a whole went smoothly.During the exchange activities that followed, we received a letter of appreciation from the principal of Chusho Elementary School, Kure, for our service activities.

In the second activity, we divided the participating students into 10 groups and conducted a needs survey in Kaohsiung City.In the survey activities, based on the results of exchanging ideas within each group, we mainly focused on the following items (children's safety and security and play environment, transportation, barrier-free, sports shops, food-related such as night markets and Japanese food, bridal markets, tourism safety and security), we conducted an observation survey and an interview survey. In this activity, we asked each group to bring a mobile router as a device to ensure that the students can work safely and securely.By using a location information sharing app on the smartphones that the students are familiar with, we were able to conduct group activities relatively smoothly.

As mentioned above, I feel that I have largely achieved my initial goals in this program, and I am proceeding with post-program studies in preparation for the debriefing session to be held in April. Please stay tuned.
