On August 8th (Sunday) from 19:10 to 30:11, at Tanjuso in Ichijima-cho, Tanba City, as part of the activities of the Department of Human Psychology Service Learning Program "Recovery from disasters through healing music". "Summer Fureai Mini Concert" was held.This mini-concert was planned and managed on the day by the students of the Service Learning Program with the cooperation of NPO Kansai Arts and Culture Support Mori Yuzuriha.
On the day of the event, we mobilized everything we learned in the pre-learning from May and worked on the activity.The number of visitors exceeded the capacity of 5 people.The performance consisted of Riho Kidera and Genki Hosomi on saxophones and Shiho Kawamukai on percussion.In particular, Mr. Kidera, who is from Ichijima Town, was a perfect performer for the theme of the class, "Recovery from disasters through healing music."
The concert started with Elgar's "Love Greetings". The fifth song, "Red Dragonfly," was taken from the results of an interview survey conducted at Tanjuso in July.We sang along with everyone in the hall.All of them were familiar songs, and some customers listened while humming.And at the end, an unexpected encore popped out.From the descriptions of the visitor questionnaire, we received many voices such as "I want you to hold (a concert) again" and "5 minutes is short, so I want to listen longer".With the cooperation of everyone at Tanjusou, the concert was a rediscovery of the power of music.Thank you very much to everyone who came to visit us.
Participants will reflect on this experience and connect it to their next learning. At the Asian Festival from October 10th to 27th, participants will set up booths to report on what they have learned in the service learning program and sell Tamba's "good things".Please come and visit us.
