As the first activity, we held a baseball clinic for students of A Elementary School in Kaohsiung City. This was the third service activity at the same elementary school. Taking advantage of past experiences, this time the students were divided into groups according to their physical strength and skills, and implemented according to their level of proficiency, making the program easier and more enjoyable than before. proceeded. The children who attended the course were able to experience the fun and excitement of sports, and our students were able to deepen their understanding of the diversity of culture and education through service activities.Participating students other than the hardball baseball team provided logistical support such as filming and recording, and the program as a whole was able to proceed smoothly. In addition to the guardians who visited the facility, officials from the Kaohsiung City Board of Education also rushed to see us and gave us a positive evaluation of our service activities.

In the second activity, the participating students were divided into XNUMX groups, and after comparing and observing the preparations for disaster prevention and crisis management at educational institutions in Kaohsiung City with those of the same kind in Japan, interviews were conducted with related parties. I did some research.Through the survey activities, it was an opportunity for the participating students to actively think about what kind of needs and issues there are from a broad perspective.Taking advantage of the fact that there are XNUMX student disaster prevention specialists in the participating members this time, we will distribute them to each group and have them play a leading role in group activities, as well as play a leading role as future disaster prevention specialists. I was able to promote self-awareness and various realizations.

As mentioned above, I feel that I have largely achieved my initial goals in this program, and I am proceeding with post-program studies in preparation for the debriefing session to be held in May.Please stay tuned.
