The "Exciting Night Library Concert for Adults", which has been announced for some time, was held from 9:21 on Saturday, September 18st.According to the weather forecast for the day, it was raining due to an approaching typhoon, but it seems that everyone's thoughts were understood and they held out.
By the time the library closed that day, there was already a line up to the second floor, which surprised all the staff. We had over 2 visitors, more than we expected.
At the scheduled time, the curtain opened with Mr. Hattori, a first-year student in the Department of Human Psychology, moderating the event. After that, Riho Kitera, Aya Moritaka, and Yufumi Sakai from NPO Kansai Arts and Culture Support, who were dressed in beautiful dresses, appeared and the performance started.
On this day, we set up speakers outside so that even those who couldn't fit inside the venue could enjoy the event. While the autumn breeze was blowing, there were also people who enjoyed themselves from outside the venue.Actually, the view from outside was wonderful, where you can enjoy the stage floating in the dark.
In the free-text section of the questionnaire, we received many comments such as "It was a wonderful performance!", "It was a different atmosphere from the usual library", and "I want to come again next time".In addition, 14% of the visitors came to the library for the first time this time, and we were able to achieve one of the goals of the concert, "cultivating new users."
Participants will reflect on this experience and connect it to their next learning. In November, we plan to propose a new event to attract customers at the library.
Thank you to everyone who came to visit us.
