From September 2019, 9, 16 students from the Department of Business Administration conducted Global Study I on-site activities mainly in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, for 4 days and 5 nights.

This time, the main theme was field research on inbound tourism, including the hosting of international sporting events in South Korea. Participating students were divided into 8 groups according to the sub-themes selected by each group, and a series of activities were conducted.

How has South Korea responded to inbound tourism accompanying the hosting of international sporting events, and what impact has the hosting of international sporting events had on South Korea's economy and social infrastructure since then? We aimed to deepen our understanding through observational surveys and interview surveys, and to obtain hints for improving our ability to respond to inbound tourism accompanying the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics scheduled for next year.

During the period, observation surveys at sightseeing spots and transportation facilities in Seoul, interview surveys accompanied by students from partner universities, and each group independently conducting research on JNTO Seoul office, Korea Tourism and Transportation Organization, companies accepting internships, etc. We conducted visits and surveys.Through this series of activities, I was able to experience the various differences between Japan and South Korea, which are neighboring countries. It was a great opportunity for experiential learning.
