The main program activity of "Global Study II (Cambodia)" is to visit local elementary schools and develop various learning activities for children.

On the first day of the activity, we visited Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Prison to learn about the historical background of Cambodia. A large number of intellectuals were slaughtered by the Pol Pot regime in the late 1970s, and even today there is a serious shortage of elementary school teachers.

On the other hand, in recent years, the city of Phnom Penh has developed remarkably, and the disparities that have accompanied it are remarkable. By understanding the historical background and witnessing the current situation, it was an opportunity to reconfirm the importance of education for children. rice field.

On the second day of the activity, we interacted with our partner university, Norton University. After exchanging information about the cultures of both countries, they visited an elementary school together with Norton University students and started learning support activities. The child looked different than I expected, and it became necessary to suddenly change the program that had been prepared in advance.During the first half of the five days, we made full use of all available methods, reflected on the day-to-day, and practiced in order to meet the needs of the children. In order to make the remaining activities meaningful, we will overcome the hardships of the first half and aim for further heights.
