The students looked back on the first five days of elementary school activities, identified areas for improvement, and then proceeded to the second half of the activities. In spite of meticulous class preparations, I struggled every day with situations where children suddenly stopped coming, or when some children suddenly dropped out of class due to lack of concentration.Even when faced with such a problem, we worked together as a group to come up with a solution and repeated trial and error. After the activity, I will return to the hotel and write a daily report on what I wanted to feel that day. Then, they looked back on the content of the class and worked to prepare for the next day's class, even if it meant cutting back on their free time and sleeping hours.I think that this student's appearance is an expression of his desire to contribute to the children of Cambodia, even if only a little.

During the elementary school activities, many students thought that it would be impossible to get closer to their children through an interpreter, so they talked to them in Khmer as much as possible with facial expressions and gestures.I felt that even if I didn't speak the language, I could feel my feelings. Also, the class is divided into 6 groups, and by doing it in groups, you learn how to debate, how to convey your own opinions, and how to accept the opinions of others, and your communication skills improve. On the last day of the activity, we participated in a study tour of the NGO JST (Joint Support Team for Angkor Community Development).Mr. Chia, the representative, gave a lecture on Cambodia's history, future development, and the importance of regional development and the educational environment that will support it.

It seems that he learned many things in his daily life during his stay, such as how to manage his time, manage his own physical condition, and understand values different from his own.Rather than ending it when you return to Japan, I hope that you will use what you have learned in this program in your student life after returning to Japan, and that it will lead to your own growth in the future.
