This is Hamana, the president of the university.As the cold weather increases in December, the expansion of the third wave of the new corona infectious disease is spreading rapidly.I think that there are many people who are worried about hearing the request to refrain from going out for non-essential and non-urgent reasons, which was issued last night by the Governor of Osaka Prefecture.
Based on the latest situation, we have decided to raise the level of the "University Activity Standards for Novel Coronavirus Infections at Kansai University of International Studies" from "1" to "2", but the university is currently requesting leave. Therefore, I would like to maintain the class system while paying the utmost attention to infectious disease countermeasures.Regarding the system of counters, etc., we will maintain the normal system and hours for now.In addition, regarding the work of faculty and staff, we would like to flexibly operate telecommuting according to individual circumstances.
Until now, thanks to everyone's cooperation, we have been able to prevent clusters of infections by limiting the number of infected people to one in the fall semester.With less than 1 weeks of classes left for the year, I would like to enter the winter vacation period without incident.Therefore, I strongly request you to do the following.
12. Please do not eat out in the Osaka area until December 15th.In particular, there are many opportunities to eat and drink, such as Christmas and year-end parties. Considering that the risk of droplet infection is high in other areas, please refrain from eating out (especially eating out with multiple people or drinking alcohol) as much as possible.
