This time, I would like to introduce the exchange meeting of Global Study I (Taichung) held in December.

Originally, this program was conducted in 2019 with the support of Taichung University of Education, a partner school of our university, to investigate and research the academic achievement gap and lessons learned in elementary schools in Taiwan. I was planning to do a field survey in March 2020, but it was canceled due to the influence of Corona. The students, faculty and staff of our university, as well as the students and faculty of Taichung University of Education, feel very sorry.

After that, we discussed with Taichung University of Education and decided to hold a remote exchange meeting in December connecting Taiwan and Japan. We gave a presentation on the current situation of elementary schools in Japan during the COVID-12 pandemic and what children are learning. On the other hand, a student from Taichung gave a presentation in English about the current situation of elementary schools in Taiwan during the COVID-XNUMX pandemic.

Because it was a remote exchange, we were not able to actively interact in the first half, but in the second half, students from our university and students from Taichung University of Education played hand games together, and it felt like they got to know each other a little better. rice field.
Finally, as a surprise, a student from Taichung University of Education showed me a blackboard with the names and pictures of both universities on it.We are filled with gratitude.

I hope that the students of both universities will make use of this experience and move forward in this global society.

The photos are of the exchange meeting and a surprise blackboard drawing from Taichung University of Education.
