On Friday, December 12, during the lunch break, the first face-to-face event of the year, the “Christmas party,” was held at the Global Studies Plaza on the Miki Campus, with the aim of promoting interaction between international and Japanese students.
Every year, we eat Christmas cake and exchange gifts, but this year, in consideration of preventing the spread of the new coronavirus, we tried to interact with each other while doing "mosaic candle making".
First, we projected a PowerPoint on the venue and explained how to make candles. After that, we actually got to work.Line a paper cup with finely chopped wax of your favorite color, add glitter on top, and finally add melted wax to complete the cake after about an hour.Participating students made their own candles while enjoying conversations with people they met for the first time, and completed many wonderful candles.
The Global Learning Plaza will continue to plan various events next year with the aim of globalizing the campus.
We look forward to your participation.
