ACP International Virtual Boot Camp 2021 was held
University of Gadjah Mada (Indonesia), University of Utala Malaysia (Malaysia), and our university jointly hold a total of three study sessions "International Virtual Boot Camp 3" on the theme of "safety management in the corona disaster".Each of the three universities will host the study session once, and three lecturers will be invited to give lectures each time.About 2021 students from each university will take the class via zoom, and it will also be streamed live on YouTube so that students, faculty and staff members of the ACP Consortium member universities can also watch.
The first meeting on March 1 was hosted by our university, with Professor Masamichi Yoshitsubaki (Secretary General of Citizens towards Overseas Disaster Emergency, Director of the Kansai NGO Council (Permanent)) and Professor Miki Kodama (Deputy Director of the Research Department of the Asian Disaster Reduction Center). , Dr. Nobuto Otsu (Chief Researcher and General Affairs Engineer, Earthquake Disaster Research Department, Fire Research Center, Fire Defense College, Fire Defense Agency, Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Visiting Associate Professor, Graduate School of Engineering, Kobe University) rice field.
At the beginning, Professor Yoshitsubaki gave a talk titled "Helping Each Other Across the Border and Learning Together" about disaster relief in the wake of COVID-19, including the case in Wuhan, China. I was told thatDr. Kodama gave a talk titled "Evolving Disaster Response Measures during the COVID-19 Pandemic" about what to do in the event of a disaster amidst the COVID-XNUMX epidemic, as well as possible problems.Under the title of "Fire Incidents Related to Covid-XNUMX," Professor Otsu talks about fires caused by the physical and mental effects of COVID-XNUMX, which are inconspicuous but affect people's lives. You talked about the importance of focusing on the problem.
Students asked many questions using the chat function of zoom.Due to the very limited time, we had to ask the professors to reply in writing to any questions that could not be answered after the lecture.
