[Rather than complain about what you can't do, find what you can do]
[Current experience can only be done now & will be an important asset]
Today, I would like to tell you about these two things.
Every year around this time, second-year students of the Department of Nursing receive practical training at a hospital where they learn about nursing assistance by taking care of a patient.
This practical training begins with learning about the effects that patients have on their bodies, minds, and families after being forced to stay in the hospital due to illness or injury.
In addition, we, nursing professionals, will be involved while thinking about what we can do so that each person can live a better life.At the same time, while receiving guidance and advice from nurses who actually work in hospitals, it is an opportunity to deepen their thoughts on nursing by observing how nurses interact with patients.

However, this year, due to the effects of the corona virus, we are no longer able to practice at the hospital. "I can't practice at the hospital, what should I do?" Both students and teachers were worried, confused, and shocked, and they were in a state of [deploring that they couldn't do it], but they had to do something.

[Let's find out what we can do] Regarding what we can learn from the nurses, we will use the remote system with the cooperation of the training hospital to have the nurses talk, ask questions, and give their opinions. I had the experience of exchanging.
"I learned concrete things that I could not have learned from textbooks or by studying on my own." I will become a nurse who can be respected.”One of the assets I gained from this training format was "I was able to talk slowly with the nurses."
In order to learn nursing support for the patients I was in charge of, I decided to create a simulated ward in the university and take charge of the simulated patients.
Here, I gained the necessary information from the patient's medical record and experienced the actual assistance of the patient.

The students experienced not only the position of nursing students, but also the position of patients and their families.

"I got nervous when I went to the patient's side, and the people around me couldn't see it at all." "I realized that it was wrong." "I understood a little more about what it means to think about patients." I learned how they live their lives with such feelings and how nurses see them.”
These days are full of restrictions,[Rather than complain about what you can't do, find what you can do]Not zero, there must be something.[Current experience can only be done now & will be an important asset]Experience always helps.
Our students are working hard every day to achieve their dreams.
