Six students from our university, including four international students, participated in the "Hanshin-to-Hanshin Inter-University Japan Heritage Utilization Promotion Project - University Tie-up Workshop Project" sponsored by Itami City. The story of "Itami Morohaku" and "Nada no Kiippon", which was designated as a Japan Heritage (*) in June last year, and the cultural properties that make up it. The purpose is to think about new possibilities for the young generation by learning through fieldwork and knowing the depth of sake.

On Sunday, March 3, the students underwent fieldwork led by Professor Yongsook Lee of the Faculty of Business Administration. On this day, we visited Shirayuki Brewery Village Chojugura Museum (Itami City), Kiku-Masamune Sake Brewery Museum (Higashinada-ku, Kobe City), Sakura-Masamune Memorial Museum (same), and Nadahama Fukutsuru Brewery (same).

In addition to the important tangible folk cultural property "Nada Sake Brewing Tools" owned by the Kiku-Masamune Sake Brewery Memorial Museum, students toured exhibits of sake brewing tools and materials related to sake brewing held by various places, and the students learned about their size and the nature of sake brewing in the area. I was overwhelmed by the scale. In addition, they received lectures on the process of sake brewing, rice polishing techniques for sake rice, etc., and discussed sake tourism in Japan with Professor Lee.In addition, I was able to taste the products at various places, and experienced the difference in the aroma and the wide range of tastes of sake.

The students summarized what they had learned and the results of their fieldwork, and presented them at a workshop (online) on the 13th (Sat).
