[Global Study Report] (Indonesia, etc.) (XNUMX) On-site classes

This program will focus on disaster prevention education as a way to pass on the lessons learned from disasters, think about the lessons that should be passed on, and implement "delivery lessons" at elementary schools in areas affected by the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. To that end, we will learn methods for learning about disasters in Japan and Indonesia, developing teaching materials, and designing and implementing lessons.Based on the experience of visiting lectures, we will connect with our university's partner universities via Zoom, and through information exchange and interaction, we will present common points with disaster prevention education in Indonesia and differences due to disaster history and culture.Receive feedback from ACP member universities abroad.

The activity started with a tour of the Human and Disaster Prevention Future Center (Kobe City). We were touched by the storyteller's passion to convey the lessons of the earthquake while learning about the reality of the earthquake from those who experienced the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake. After that, we learned about the reality of natural disasters in Indonesia, and asked the XNUMX GS Indonesia participating students to give us an overview of their activities there.

In a visiting class at a Kobe municipal elementary school, we verified the teaching material "Let's make a disaster prevention backpack" created by the XNUMX Indonesia members and reconfigured the teaching material according to the actual situation of children in Kobe city.We also worked on creating a lesson plan for "Let's have fun learning about disaster prevention with karuta."

We realized the importance of "preparing" for natural disasters in the course of the Human and Disaster Mitigation Future Center, natural disasters and disaster prevention education in Indonesia, and visiting elementary schools.I would like to connect this learning to dissemination at the ACP International Symposium.

《After finishing the visiting class》

I learned that in order to teach others, you must have the knowledge yourself.Today, we are both on the teaching side and the learning side, so I think we were able to hold the class with the feeling of learning together.

It was my first time to think about a class, so I learned how fun and difficult it is to have discussions with the members, offer opinions, and put them all together into a single class. At that time, I was able to make new discoveries when I actually witnessed the reactions and behaviors of the children I expected. .I would like to incorporate ideas and ideas that can only be created by the soft minds of children, not by the hard heads of adults, into my own thoughts on disaster prevention in the future.Since the elementary school had originally focused on disaster prevention education, I believe that the response of the children was good, and the lessons were able to proceed smoothly.
