Kobe Yamate Campus Media Library Opening Ceremony and Tour

On March 2021, 3 (Tuesday), the media library opening ceremony and tour were held at Kobe Yamate Campus.

Following an address by President Atsushi Hamana, Professor Kazuhiko Nakanishi, Director of the Center for Learning Support, explained the outline of the facility, and the ceremony ended with a ribbon cutting.


This facility consists of a "media library area" for quiet study in a conventional library style, a "learning commons area" for small group study, and a "collaboration area" that can be operated flexibly according to the needs of users. It is made up of areas.
In particular, the names of the rooms in the collaboration area are named after the names of great men such as Martin Luther King, Gandhi, and Churchill.

The president and director of the center conveyed their desire to "make it a place to relax and learn so that it becomes a habit to stop by after class."


After the ceremony, a tour of the facility was held for teachers and students, and while looking at the newly renovated library and learning commons, they could see how they imagined reading books and studying in groups.


Kenta Tsurumoto, vice-president of the student council, said, "The refurbishment of the area has given me the feeling of taking a new step forward. I hope it will become a place where students can gather."
