February-March 2021, Global Study I (Brazil/Winter 2) program will visit the NPO Kansai Brazilian Community CBK (Kobe City) to learn about cultural differences between Japan and Brazil and experience activities at the facility. By doing so, students were able to deepen their learning through practice about the ideal way of cultural exchange through play (multicultural coexistence).

Specifically, they visited the facility after acquiring knowledge about the history of immigration to Brazil and Japan on their own. ), I took lectures on immigration and educational issues, and internalized my knowledge.

On the fourth day, the final day of the activities at the facility, I participated in a learning support class for children with Brazilian roots, which is always held on Saturdays, and learned about language support for children. Students also participated in learning support activities, including physical expression activities such as music, as a way of cultural exchange through play. There, students and children of the university can unite their feelings and engage in activities such as "playing with pieces," "Daruma-san fell," "handkerchief dropping," and "dancing to Japanese songs." , It led to a very valuable learning to realize the importance of non-verbal communication.

I hope that the students will continue to deepen their understanding of multicultural coexistence as cultural exchange through play through hands-on practice at the facility.
