[Faculty of Business Administration] Business Administration students participated in the ACP Symposium ACP Boot Camp

The Asian Cooperative Program (ACP) Consortium (President: President Hamana), which consists of 6 major universities in 15 Southeast Asian countries, will hold the 2021nd ACP International Symposium online on April 4, 6. Thirty-six people, including three students, participated from our university.

Since its establishment, ACP has held international conferences, symposiums, and field research programs (Global Study: GS ), etc., several times a year, but under the circumstances of the global spread of the new coronavirus, it is no longer possible to visit each other and implement the program together. Therefore, following September last year, we decided to implement an online program for multinational students to learn from each other.

Prior to the symposium on April 4, ACP International Boot Camp 6, a total of three study sessions, was held in March by APU, Utala Malaysia University in Malaysia, and Gadjah Mada University in Indonesia.

For details on the boot camp, please see here (Center for Global Education website).

The symposium was attended by 3 students from four universities in three countries. Divided into two sessions, "Corona" and "Disaster Prevention/Mitigation", research presentations were given based on what had been studied at the boot camp held in advance. Each session was attended by four faculty members in charge of evaluation, who evaluated the presentations of the students. As a result, the group from Atma Jaya University of Yogyakarta won the Best Presentation Award in the corona session, and the group from Gadjah Mada University in the disaster prevention and mitigation session.

Thirty-six students from our university participated in two teams, and had the valuable experience of presenting what they had learned in English at an international symposium on disaster preparedness and disaster prevention education during the COVID-36 pandemic. .
