[Tourism Department] Airline Major: A round-table conference between CA (cabin crew) and GS (ground staff) applicants and CA instructors

In the Department of Tourism, seminar activities are divided into three majors (airline, hotel/bridal, and tourism business) from the second year onwards, with an eye on the course after graduation.

Seminars and special exercises for airline majors are taught by full-time faculty members who have managerial experience at major airlines and veteran faculty members who also have CA experience at major airlines. I am going to join.

Since this lecturer's special seminar is for 3rd year students, we have created a special opportunity to meet with XNUMXst and XNUMXnd year students who wish to take CA or GS.

From the teacher's story of his student days, I could feel that he was making efforts to connect everything, including part-time jobs, to learning to become a CA.Also, in order to become a CA, I was given advice to acquire "awareness, communication skills, and English proficiency" and "write clear and easy-to-read handwriting".

The job of a CA is not just about providing services to customers.

This includes protecting the safety and security of our customers. Even now as a CA, there is a safety test once a year.

Although the discussion was held online because the class was being held remotely, the students must have been greatly inspired by hearing real stories from the professor who is active as a CA.

When looking for a job at an airline, including CA, the emphasis is not only on manners and appearance, but also on comprehensive knowledge and skills, including language skills.

From the second year onwards, the airline major in the Department of Tourism at our university actively conducts learning not only about hospitality, but also about "safety and security" initiatives of airlines, revitalization of airports, etc. through active learning.
