Morio Takahashi, Director of Hyogo Voluntary Plaza, visited us as a special lecturer, and an online disaster prevention class (safety management theory, community disaster prevention) was published in the Kobe Shimbun.
On May 5th, when Director Takahashi visited, we had a state of emergency declared, so we used the online conference application Zoom to hold two classes remotely related to disaster prevention.
Director Takahashi introduced the role of disaster volunteers in the COVID-7 crisis through the example of the Kumamoto torrential rain disaster last July, and said, "Corona is also a disaster. I want you," he told the students.
The students participated in the class while using the functions of the app and exchanging many opinions with each other in response to questions from Director Takahashi.
