16 groups of second year students in Seminar 1 class presented using Zoom their research on their chosen country of interest. 8 groups presented on June 1 and the other 8 groups on June 8. Among the research topics include:
●History of Japan-Taiwan relations
●Discrimination Among LGBTQ Workers in Thailand
Racial Issues in the United States ~The Influence of Former President Trump from a Historical Perspective~
●Korea Plastic Surgery Industry
●The Impact of Covid-19 on Philippine Tourism
Students learned choosing a research topic, online research, outlining, making a PowerPoint, and presentation through active learning approach. This approach includes brainstorming, critical thinking, working collaboratively (in pairs or in groups).
The aims of this research presentations are:
1) to prepare students for the Global Research (GR) program required by the university
2) to provide them insights for graduation thesis
