[Faculty of Education] Misunderstandings in the interview test ~ It's not the correct answer system ~

At our university, we have a time called the Center Program.

We offer our skills for the growth of students, not just lectures.

As a preparation for the teacher recruitment exam, I use the time to teach interviews, mock classes, role-plays, etc. called "interview synthesis".

Currently, we are using zoom as a measure against COVID-XNUMX, so face-to-face role-playing is difficult, so I mainly teach tips for interviews and mock classes.

By the way, while receiving guidance from various teachers at interviews, there is a student who is worried that he cannot speak well when asked.

Certainly, if you are asked, "What did you eat yesterday?" and you reply, "Hanshin won!", it will be an irrelevant answer, so it is out of the question.

So it's not that the person who ate the steak passed and the ramen failed.

This is because the questions in teacher recruitment exams are often questions that have no correct answer, or questions such as "How do you create a bullying-free classroom?" It's from

In other words, as long as you don't give out-of-the-ordinary answers, it's okay if you don't try to be correct and don't try to speak splendid content.

Rather, even if a student without field experience talks or talks about, for example, a solution to bullying, the impression may be far from positive.

As a matter of fact, the interviewer asks various questions and wants to know "what kind of person" rather than the content of the answers.

In particular, school teachers are in a position to stand in front of children and instruct them, so if the recruiting side does not know what kind of person they are, it is scary and they cannot hire them.

Is he someone who will take good care of children?

Is he someone who will brighten up the children?

Is he the kind of person who can stand in front of the children and give a solid lesson?

No way, you won't cause a scandal! ?and so on

In short, if you are not a person who can be "safe", you can not hire.

Therefore, it is very important to know your own characteristics and speak in a way that allows you to express your own good points.

Believe in yourself and be yourself!Go for it! 4th grade!
