[Faculty of Sociology] Investigate the "now" through social research

Don't you want to know "what society is like now" and "how society is changing"?

In the “Social Research Practicum,” students take the lead in formulating hypotheses about social phenomena, planning social research, and actually collecting and analyzing data. This year, we are planning a quantitative survey using questionnaires on games, sports, live performances, movies, travel, and eating out with the theme of "life in the corona wreck".

All the members started from the state that "I have answered the questionnaire, but this is the first time to create it", investigated previous research, made a hypothesis, and finally managed to create a question sentence.I need a little trick to create a question sentence. For example, do you want to ask about experiences (have you ever had) or wishes (would you like to try)? Do you want to ask yes/no? How many options do you have?

The real thrill of surveys is that the things you want to know appear in numbers, but the results can change greatly depending on how you ask.Even students who had no experience with questionnaires are now discussing with serious expressions, asking, "Will this really work?"What will be the result?

Even after graduating from school, you can acquire really useful skills through social research.
