[To all students and parents] About class methods after July 7

students
Dear Parents,

Kansai International University President
Chief of Crisis Response Headquarters
Atsushi Hamana

This time,7Month11Yesterday, the government decided to lift the "prioritized measures to prevent the spread of infection" in Hyogo Prefecture as of today.
I think this is the result of the efforts of many people, including you, to prevent infection.Although the new coronavirus infection has not ended yet, many people may be relieved that the restrictions on social life will be eased if the infection control measures are sufficiently observed.
However, in Osaka Prefecture, the measures have been extended, and the fact that the ratio of delta mutant strains is increasing is still a cause for concern, and we cannot relax. It is essential to continue to take measures to prevent infection, such as avoiding crowds, using masks regularly, and disinfecting hands.

1. 7Month12About the class method after the day
Until now, our university has determined policies for classes and campus activities in accordance with the activity standards established by our university, based on decisions and requests from the national government and Hyogo Prefecture, etc., in response to the corona disaster.
In canceling the "Priority measures to prevent the spread of infection" this time,A request to universities by Hyogo Prefecture (governor's press conference) on July 7 includes a decision to resume face-to-face classes in consideration of the "progress of vaccination" at each university.Currently, it cannot be said that everyone's vaccination status has progressed, so we will continue to follow the method announced in the document dated July 8nd.I will decide.in particular,Students who wish to take face-to-face classes will be permitted regardless of whether they have registered or not, and students who do not wish to take face-to-face classes will be able to attend classes remotely, with the exception of some practical training courses designated by the university as face-to-face classes. This measure is scheduled to continue until vaccination (occupational vaccination) is implemented at the Amagasaki Campus, as described below. However, please pay attention to notices from the university, as it may be revised due to future changes in the situation.

2. Vaccination
We are currently in the process of coordinating with the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare regarding vaccinations (occupational vaccinations) at the Amagasaki Campus of our university, and we are unable to confirm the timing of vaccinations.
As we informed you in the document dated July XNUMX, ``After the vaccination, you may experience pain at the injection site, fatigue, headache, muscle or joint pain, chills, diarrhea, fever, etc. Most of these symptoms are , recovering within a few days after vaccination," explains the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. At the same time, "In the unlikely event that vaccination causes health damage, there is a national vaccination health damage relief system (Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare).HP)”, and it is desirable that students who receive a vaccination ticket should be vaccinated as soon as possible. However, students with underlying diseases should consult their family doctor (family) before receiving the vaccination.

Even in the midst of the COVID-XNUMX crisis, our university has made every effort to secure as many learning opportunities as possible for our students.Let's all pay close attention to infection control, be mindful of our own actions, think proactively and logically, and balance learning and infection prevention.
I am also looking forward to the day when I can finally meet you on campus.
