In Service Learning B “Learning with Children” at our university, we aim to learn understanding and relationships with children through outdoor activity programs for elementary school students, and to be able to plan, implement and operate programs by ourselves.
Last time, I participated in an outdoor activity program as a support staff, and learned first-hand how to run the program and how to talk to the children.
The next stage is for the university students themselves to devise, prepare, and present their water play program. After carefully reviewing the program for the actual event, and making numerous revisions to the proposal, we actually practiced at Eo no Mori Campsite.Prepare the tools that you will actually use and try it out, and see if it works well, what would happen if you were in the lower grades of elementary school, and whether you could explain to the children in a simple and easy-to-understand manner. Cleaned up the points.
We will improve the correction points we noticed during the rehearsal, and once again start preparing for planning on campus for the actual "Children's Outdoor Classroom" on August 8th.
