Following April 4th and May 25rd, the third open campus of the year was held on June 5th.This time, after taking careful measures against the new coronavirus infection, the morning was held face-to-face and the afternoon was held online.
Although it was the first face-to-face meeting this year, all the staff have worked hard to prepare for an even more fulfilling open campus, based on the experiences of April and May.
On the day of the event, there were many encouraging events, such as people who participated in the online OC before, and people who participated for the first time said, "It was really fun!" !
In this second installment of the "I Asked the OC Staff" project, I would like to hear from Mr. Naito, a third-year student who gave a presentation at the OC on June 2th.

Q How was the open campus this time?
A Both student staff and high school students were full of smiles over the mask!
This time, the number of student staff who participated was small, so each one was assigned a responsible job, and it was quite hectic. However, when I heard from the high school students who came, "It was fun, I will come to the next open campus!"
The face-to-face OC was held only in the morning, so compared to last year, the content of the program was much more condensed, and I felt that the content was very rich.In the afternoon, I was worried that I would not be able to feel the distance from the high school students because it was held online, but in the end, I think I was able to talk openly like a friend.

Q How was the presentation that Mr. Naito was in charge of?
A It was the first time that I thought about the content of my presentation from scratch.
When creating the slides, I prepared by thinking about which part I wanted to convey first, and whether it would be easy to understand even from the standpoint of a high school student. I've never had the opportunity to be in charge of one corner and introduce it all, so I was a little worried, but I'm relieved that I was able to present it safely.
On the other hand, there are many things that I have to be careful about, such as the speed, manner of speaking, and tone of voice when giving a presentation, and I once again felt the difficulty of giving a smooth presentation.I would like to make use of these reflection points in the future.

Q Please tell us what left an impression on you at this open campus.
A I was very nervous, but it gave me confidence!
This time, I announced the introduction of club activities both face-to-face and online.
In the face-to-face presentation, I wanted to make a presentation that high school students would enjoy, so I used a quiz format for the presentation.I was nervous, but I felt a sense of interest from everyone who attended, and I was very happy that some people listened to my presentation with a forward-looking attitude.
In the afternoon online, the machine operation did not go well, and it was a disappointing announcement. However, at the consultation corner after that, some people said that they wanted to hear more about my presentation.
This presentation gave me confidence. In the future, I hope that the staff will work together to convey the appeal of the university so that as many people as possible can learn about the greatness of the university.
