On July 7th (Sun), we held an open campus for visitors.
In the Data Science Major of the Faculty of Social Sciences, we gave a mini-lecture titled "Let's play with web design!"
In the first half, I introduced the relationship between web pages and the HTML language, the mechanism of information expression and data sharing, and how HTML was born in the first place.
In the second half, after explaining the flow of web design and the knowledge and skills required for web design, we created a simple page by actually coding HTML using a text editor.
Finally, as a practical skill, we practiced embedding Google Maps and Google Street View in web pages.
It was a short time of 30 minutes, but the high school students participated with a sense of tension. Some of them were complete beginners, but with the support of the teachers and senior student staff, they were able to complete it to the end, and they seemed satisfied.
The reason for these plans is that in recent years, many websites that have been used in the business scene have become essential for building and updating work, and the development of human resources who can plan, design, build, and update is essential for any type of job.Considering universal design as well as the visual impact, if you acquire the technology to create highly convenient and versatile products, you will be able to play an active role in various business situations.
I hope that it will be of some help to high school students when they are thinking about their career path.
In the Data Science Major of the Faculty of Social Sciences, there are qualifications that can be obtained, such as "Web Design Practitioner" and "Web Creator Ability Certification Test".We hope that many of you will acquire these qualifications and be active in various business scenes in the future.
