Dr. Yutaka Oda, a visiting professor at our university, former president of the National Institute of Special Needs Education, and former professor at Seitoku University, passed away on August 8th.
He has held important posts such as the chief inspector of the Elementary and Secondary Education Bureau of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the deputy director of the National Institute for Educational Policy Research, and the president of the National Institute of Special Education. We worked hard to make it happen. Since 2013, he has been a visiting professor at our university, and has often been a lecturer at teacher license renewal courses.I would like to express my sincere condolences here.
