At our university, there is a subject called education and childcare internship.
As an internship, students actually go to a kindergarten and gain hands-on experience from the early stages of their first or second year.
During the last internship of the spring semester, listening to the students' reflections, I sometimes wondered if this was the beginning.
"I'm so happy the kids are coming!"
"It's nice to hear from the children!"
"It's embarrassing to be called teacher 〇〇 by the children, but I'm happy!"
They chose this job because they love children, so for students who are experiencing the field for the first time, just having children come to their place makes them happy.
It would be a pity if, even though I have come to like my job as a teacher, my "happy!"
When I look at my students, I sometimes think, "That's right, that's right."
