Dear Parents,
Kansai University of International Studies President and Crisis Management Headquarters Director
Atsushi Hamana
It's summer vacation, but it's hard to say that it's been fun this year because of both the bad weather and the coronavirus pandemic, making it difficult for everyone to travel, go home, and have dinner with family and friends. I think you are having a "summer of patience".I think how regrettable it is that it is difficult to enjoy a free summer vacation in student life for two consecutive years.
By the way, from tomorrow 20th to September 9th, 12 prefectures including Hyogo will declare a state of emergency, and 7 prefectures will be subject to the declaration.Combined with the issuance of new priority measures to prevent the spread of the virus in 13 prefectures, the number of corona infections caused by delta strains is rapidly expanding in most regions, and a sense of crisis is spreading nationwide.Similar trends can be seen around the world.
□ Status of infected students
A total of 3 students (66% of all students) on three campuses have been infected so far. It's never about other people.this houseNo one was infected in class, 1% of club activities, 23% of dormitory life, 23% of going out to eat and play, 18% of home / accommodation, 16% of part-time jobs, unknown 13%.There are various situations just before, but the risk of infection increases as the range of living expands. We ask all of you to continue to be as careful as possible about droplets, avoid eating and drinking without eating silently or wearing masks (especially with multiple people), further implement infection prevention measures, and refrain from going out for non-essential and non-urgent reasons. please give me.
□ Date of vaccination at the university
As we have already announced in the simultaneous distribution,The university's Amagasaki Campus will finally start the first round of vaccinations on September 9th and 4th (the second round will be on September 5th and 1th). In the results of a survey of students conducted at the end of July, 7% of students answered that they had been vaccinated, 22% answered that they were planning to or would like to be vaccinated in the future, and 60% indicated their intention to be vaccinated. It is unavoidable for some students to be unable to get vaccinated for health reasons, but most students seem to understand that the risk of infection is greater than the side effects of vaccination.
□ Second round of recruitment for those who wish to be vaccinated
If you are planning to get vaccinated or would like to get vaccinated, you can still make a reservation for the second round of vaccinations at our university. We will start accepting reservations for non-members in the near future, so please make your reservations by then. The number of participants is limited, so please hurry if you are interested.of courseIf you can get vaccinated at a large inoculation venue or at your family doctor before that, please get vaccinated as soon as possible.Vaccination doesn't mean you won't get infected, but I have to say that it's the top priority as a self-defense measure at the current stage.
The "Emergency Declaration" will end by September 9th, and the university will do its utmost to ensure that you can take normal face-to-face classes as much as possible.Let's encourage each other and protect our lives.I could do it!With that in mind, let's get your campus life back on track from the fall semester.
