Continuing from last year, we are working on experiential learning with Kobe Winery.
Last year's Kobe Winery asked us about Kobe wine's "low name recognition outside the Kansai region" and "few restaurants in Kobe where you can drink it."In order to find a solution to this problem, we investigated the current situation and planned and implemented a radio program for the RadiCro Internet radio station and a tasting party at a souvenir shop in Hyogo Prefecture.
This year, we are working on "how to spread Kobe wine to the Hong Kong market?"
First, we investigated the business of the Kobe Winery in the domestic market, and in order to deepen our understanding of the Kobe Winery's "Kobe Wine" brand business, we visited the Kobe Winery for fieldwork, observed the brewing site, and grapes grown in the field. I did farm work.
Next, at the "Hong Kong Local Entrepreneur Session (Online Special Course)", the representative of Hong Kong Tsukada Farm and the director of the Hong Kong Wakyokai gave lectures to deepen their understanding of business in the Hong Kong market.
From there, we deepened discussions in group work many times, and talked about the possibility of new products in the Hong Kong market for Hong Kong Tsukada Farm "Kobe brand combination of Kobe beef and Rokko mountain ranch ricotta cheese (Japan Cheese Awards 2020 Gold Award winner)". He gave presentations such as "Benediction (white wine) and Chinese food" and "Benediction Rouge (red wine) and Kobe beef combination", and said, "I learned for the first time that Kobe wine was developed to go well with Kobe beef. The combination of Kobe beef and Kobe wine is interesting, and the combination of mulled wine is unique because Hong Kong people like warm drinks.”
In the fall semester, we will further deepen the discussion and make another presentation at Tsukada Farm in Hong Kong.
In addition, we plan to make a presentation at the Japan Tourism Management Association “Next Generation Tourism Management Forum”.
In experiential learning, in order to solve the problems given in this way, it is necessary to make full use of the knowledge and skills that have been learned so far, and to independently learn the knowledge and skills that you have noticed that you are lacking. increase. In addition, it is necessary to carry out progress management and organizational management of the process leading to problem solving.
Through this process, students will acquire the practical skills needed in society, such as practical problem-finding skills, problem-solving skills, planning skills, management skills, and team organization skills.
