[Teaching Profession Center] Taking full measures against the new coronavirus -For teaching practice-

Practicing childcare and teaching is one of the barriers that must be passed in order to acquire qualifications and licenses. It is also an opportunity to reconsider your own career while interacting with children and learning about the teachers at the training school. Before COVID-XNUMX, issues such as how to provide childcare and guidance and how to interact with children were issues for students. However, new challenges have arisen in childcare training and teaching training conducted amid the spread of the new coronavirus infection. The challenge is how to accurately grasp one's own health condition and how to create a "safe and secure" environment.

At our university, we are taking measures against the new coronavirus using the "New Coronavirus Guidebook" created by our university in the pre-training guidance for each practical training.

〇 Daily infection prevention measures
・Encourage hand washing with running water and soap, and hand disinfection with alcohol.
・For masks, non-woven masks are recommended.
・Two weeks before the practical training, the boarding students return to their parents' homes. Refrain from working part-time for two weeks
〇Measurement of temperature from XNUMX weeks before practical training, during the practical training period, and for XNUMX weeks after the practical training
〇 We are thoroughly instructing to inform and implement the contact system, etc. in the event of an abnormality in physical condition.

With regard to the novel coronavirus infection, our daily lives are being greatly restricted, such as the declaration of a state of emergency and the implementation of priority measures to prevent the spread of the virus. However, managing one's physical condition is a natural skill for working people. In addition, it is necessary for teachers, who are mainly involved in dealing with people, to be sensitive to infectious diseases.I hope that this new corona disaster will foster such knowledge and skills, as well as awareness.
